A refreshing and sweet Honeydew Bubble Tea recipe featuring chewy tapioca pearls soaked in brown sugar syrup, blended fresh honeydew melon, milk, and ice for a perfect homemade bubble tea experience.

Ingredients

Tapioca Pearls

  • 100 g tapioca boba pearls
  • 50 g brown sugar

Honeydew Milk Tea

  • 400 g fresh honeydew melon, cut into chunks
  • 20 g granulated sugar
  • 400 mL milk
  • Ice, as needed

Instructions

  1. Boil Tapioca Pearls: Fill a medium pot about two-thirds full with water, cover, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add all the tapioca pearls and stir immediately to prevent clumping. Boil uncovered for 15 minutes.
  2. Steep Tapioca Pearls: After boiling, cover the pot and remove it from the heat. Let the pearls sit for another 15 minutes to become chewy and soft.
  3. Sugar Syrup for Pearls: Drain the water from the tapioca pearls and stir in the brown sugar while the pearls are still warm. Set aside to absorb the syrup.
  4. Prepare Honeydew Milk: In a blender, combine honeydew chunks, granulated sugar, and milk. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  5. Assemble Bubble Tea: In each serving glass, add about 100 grams of the brown sugar tapioca pearls. Fill the glass halfway with ice, then pour the blended honeydew milk to fill the rest of the glass. Garnish with extra honeydew chunks if desired.
  6. Serve: Stir well before drinking to combine the flavors and enjoy your homemade honeydew bubble tea.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe honeydew melon for best flavor and sweetness.
  • Brown sugar syrup can be adjusted according to your preferred sweetness level.
  • Make sure to stir tapioca pearls frequently when boiling to prevent sticking.
  • Serve immediately with a wide straw to enjoy the tapioca pearls.
  • Milk can be substituted with any plant-based milk to make the recipe vegan-friendly.
