  • 200 grams halloumi cheese sliced into 1 cm thick pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
  • 2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves only, can substitute with dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Heat Oil. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat until shimmering and hot enough for frying.
  2. Fry Halloumi. Add the halloumi slices carefully to the pan and fry for 3 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  3. Flip and Fry. Turn the halloumi slices over and fry the other side for an additional 3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. Remove and Plate. Remove the fried halloumi from the pan and place the slices on a serving plate.
  5. Add Honey and Thyme. Drizzle honey generously over the halloumi slices and sprinkle fresh thyme leaves on top to finish. Serve immediately.
