200 grams halloumi cheese sliced into 1 cm thick pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves only, can substitute with dried thyme
Instructions
Heat Oil. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat until shimmering and hot enough for frying.
Fry Halloumi. Add the halloumi slices carefully to the pan and fry for 3 minutes on one side until golden brown.
Flip and Fry. Turn the halloumi slices over and fry the other side for an additional 3 minutes until golden and crispy.
Remove and Plate. Remove the fried halloumi from the pan and place the slices on a serving plate.
Add Honey and Thyme. Drizzle honey generously over the halloumi slices and sprinkle fresh thyme leaves on top to finish. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use a non-stick pan to prevent sticking and ensure even frying.
Adjust the amount of honey based on your preferred sweetness.
Fresh thyme is preferred for its vibrant flavor, but dried thyme can be used as a substitute.
