Ingredients
For the Rolls
1 package Crescent Roll Dough pre-made dough
8 oz Mozzarella Cheese fresh slices or shredded
24 slices Pepperoni 3 slices per roll
1 Egg optional for egg wash
2 tbsp Butter melted
1 tsp Italian Seasoning fresh herbs can be substituted
1 cup Marinara Sauce optional for dipping
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it is ready for baking.
Prepare the dough: Open the crescent roll dough package and gently separate it into individual triangles on a clean surface.
Add cheese: Place a generous slice or amount of shredded mozzarella cheese at the wide end of each dough triangle.
Add pepperoni: Lay 3 slices of pepperoni evenly over the mozzarella on each triangle.
Roll the dough: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll up each triangle, tucking in the filling to prevent leakage.
Apply egg wash: Beat the egg if using, and brush the tops of the rolled crescents to help them brown beautifully.
Prepare baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the rolls spaced evenly on it.
Brush with butter and seasoning: Melt the butter and stir in the Italian seasoning, then brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the rolls for 14 minutes or until they turn golden brown and puffy.
Cool and serve: Allow the rolls to cool for about 3 minutes before serving. Optionally serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
You can use shredded mozzarella if fresh slices are unavailable.
For a crispier crust, brush the rolls with egg wash before baking.
Substitute Italian seasoning with dried oregano or basil if preferred.
The marinara sauce adds a perfect tangy dip but can be omitted for a simpler snack.
Ensure the rolls are tightly rolled to prevent cheese leak during baking.
These rolls are best enjoyed warm for the gooey cheese experience.
