Ingredients
Oreo Balls
36 cookies Oreo, finely crushed
8 oz cream cheese, softened
Chocolate Coating
12 oz chocolate (white, milk, or dark), melted
Instructions
Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the finely crushed Oreo cookies and softened cream cheese. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
Shape Balls: Using your hands or a small scoop, form the mixture into 1-inch diameter balls. Place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Freeze: Place the baking sheet with the Oreo balls into the freezer for 15 minutes to allow them to firm up and hold their shape during dipping.
Dip in Chocolate: Remove the balls from the freezer and dip each one completely into the melted chocolate, ensuring an even coating. Then place them back onto the lined baking sheet.
Set Chocolate: Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or place the baking sheet in the refrigerator until the coating is firm.
Serve or Store: Once the chocolate is firm, serve immediately or store the Oreo balls in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.
Notes
Use a food processor or place the Oreos in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin to achieve finely crushed crumbs.
Softened cream cheese is easier to mix and gives a smooth texture—bring it to room temperature before using.
For a decorative touch, drizzle contrasting melted chocolate over the coated balls before the chocolate sets.
Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Feel free to experiment with different chocolate types for dipping depending on your preference.
