These Cinnamon Toast Crunch Pretzels are a deliciously sweet and crunchy snack, featuring mini pretzels coated in a buttery cinnamon-sugar glaze. Perfect for satisfying your sweet and salty cravings with an easy-to-make treat that's great for sharing or enjoying anytime at home.

Ingredients

For the Pretzel Coating

  • 4 cups mini pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
  2. Melt Butter and Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Continue stirring until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Coat Pretzels: Place the mini pretzels into a large mixing bowl. Pour the warm butter and sugar mixture over the pretzels and toss thoroughly to ensure each pretzel is evenly coated with the cinnamon-sugar glaze.
  4. Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the coated pretzels out in a single layer on the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet, making sure they are not overlapping to allow even baking.
  5. Bake: Bake the pretzels in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Stir the pretzels halfway through the baking time to promote uniform coating and toasting.
  6. Cool and Serve: Once baking is complete, remove the pretzels from the oven and give them another good toss to separate them. Allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving or storing to ensure they become crisp.

Notes

  • Be sure to stir the pretzels halfway through baking to avoid burning and to ensure even cinnamon-sugar coating.
  • Let the pretzels cool completely before storing to maintain their crisp texture.
  • You can adjust the cinnamon amount according to your taste preference for more or less spice.
  • Store the pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • If you want a stronger vanilla flavor, you can add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
