Delicious and easy-to-make Blackstone Cinnamon Rolls cooked on a griddle, featuring sweet cinnamon and brown sugar rolled in soft dough, perfect for a warm breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Dough and Filling

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping

  • Pre-made icing (usually included in the cinnamon roll dough can, amount as desired for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Blackstone griddle: Heat your Blackstone griddle to medium heat, approximately 350°F, to prepare for cooking the cinnamon rolls.
  2. Prepare the dough: Unroll the refrigerated cinnamon roll dough onto a clean flat surface and gently flatten it to widen the sheet.
  3. Apply melted butter: Brush the melted unsalted butter generously over the surface of the dough to help the cinnamon and sugar stick and add rich flavor.
  4. Add cinnamon and sugar: Sprinkle the ground cinnamon and brown sugar evenly over the buttered dough for a sweet, spiced filling.
  5. Roll the dough: Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log shape to trap the cinnamon sugar inside.
  6. Slice the rolls: Cut the rolled dough into 2-inch thick pieces to create individual cinnamon rolls.
  7. Cook on the griddle: Place the cut-side down cinnamon rolls on the preheated griddle. Cover with a lid to retain heat and moisture, cooking for about 15 minutes until the rolls are golden brown on the bottom and cooked through.
  8. Finish with icing: Drizzle the provided icing over the hot cinnamon rolls before serving to add creamy sweetness and complete the dish.

Notes

  • Use a lid while cooking to help the cinnamon rolls cook evenly and stay soft inside.
  • If you prefer, add nuts such as chopped pecans or walnuts inside the roll before slicing for extra texture.
  • Ensure the griddle temperature stays consistent at medium heat to avoid burning the bottom while the inside cooks.
  • You can warm the icing slightly to make drizzling easier and more even.
  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg with the cinnamon.
